What will I get in my room?

A comfy bed for you to stretch out in, a bed side unit to keep all your prized possessions, shelves, a notice board, wardrobe and a large desk for you to study at!

You get a wash basin in your bedroom but as the accommodation is based on a “house” rather than a flat you share a bathroom, shower room and two toilets with your fellow house mates.

How big are the rooms, how many do they sleep?

Each house has either six or eight rooms with shared facilities. There are a limited number of standard rooms available which include broadband and there are the new deluxe houses which have newly renovated modern kitchens with a lounge area, upgraded WC and shower rooms, new security windows and doors and of course the broadband internet as standard.

What communal facilities are there?

At Ashenhurst Houses the kitchen areas are where everyone can mix and get to know each other. Here you’ll find cooker/s, fridge freezers, microwaves, table and chairs, kettle, toaster and in the deluxe houses there is also a leather sofa to relax on.

The site is fully maintained by a team dedicated to ensuring the houses are kept to a high standard, there is a communal launderette, outside picnic area for you to enjoy in the warmer months and all of this is covered by CCTV for your peace of mind.

I might bring my car to Uni, is there parking on site?

There is limited parking at Ashenhurst Houses so book early to avoid disappointment, a permit is required and has a small admin fee. These are issued on a first come, first serve basis.

Do I get contents insurance with my apartment?

Yes. we supply this via Endsleigh insurance. You can see the cover summary by clicking here (PDF)
