What will I get in my room?
A comfy bed for you to stretch out in, a bed side unit to keep all your prized possessions, shelves, a notice board, wardrobe and a large desk for you to study at and a desk chair for you to sit back in!
You get a wash basin in your bedroom but as the accommodation is based on a “house” rather than a flat you share a bathroom, shower room and two toilets with your fellow house mates, plus a communal living/dining/kitchen.
You will also have access to a whopping 12Mb broadband connection absolutely free with your room (standard rooms only)- the fastest free internet connection in Huddersfield, including IPTV including 18 International television channels.

How big are the rooms, how many do they sleep?
Each student house has either six or eight study rooms with shared facilities, and each bedroom is designed to sleep one resident. There are a limited number of basic rooms available which includes a basic wireless broadband connection and there are the standard houses which were renovated in 2007 to include upgraded kitchens with a lounge area, upgraded WC and shower rooms, new security windows and doors and of course the 12Mb Fibre Optic broadband internet connection with the standard rooms.

What communal facilities are there?
At Ashenhurst Houses the kitchen areas are where everyone can mix and get to know each other. Here you'll find cookers, fridge freezers, microwaves, table and chairs, kettle and in the standard houses there is also a leather sofa to relax on.
The site is fully maintained by a team dedicated to ensuring the houses are kept to a high standard, there is a communal launderette, outside picnic area for you to enjoy in the warmer months and all of this is covered by CCTV for your peace of mind.
